First Grade Camp!!!
Would anybody like to sponser our S'mores? We are looking for graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars for our celebration next Thursday. :)
There will be more information coming soon in their folders about the special activities of camp next week, but I'll go ahead and give you a quick run-down...
Tuesday: “Campout Under the Stars” – Wear your PJ’s to school and bring a small blanket or pillow (please send items in a bag that is easy for the kids to carry). Bring your favorite book from home (please mark with name), a stuffed animal and a flashlight for reading. Be sure to bring a Teddy Bear (or other animal) for the “Teddy Bear Sleepover” tonight. The animals will stay at school, so be sure it is not one that your child has to sleep with every night.
Wednesday: “Camp Mail” – Read and write letters. Create 1st Grade Memory Books. Teddy Bears will report about their crazy night at the “sleepover”.
Thursday: “Around the Campfire”- Make S’mores, and play board games around the campfire. Bring your favorite board game to play with friends. Please make sure your name is on it.
Friday: “Camp Goodbyes” – Reading Buddy celebration, and yearbook signing. The students will go to specials and then be dismissed at 1:45.
End of Year Party
Please send your child to school next Tuesday with a swimsuit and towel. During the last part of the day I'm going to send them to the bathroom and get changed here at school before we walk over so we can get the party started!
Looking forward to a great time with the kiddos!
