Character Words of the Month: Honest and Integrity

This month's character words are honesty and integrity. Honesty means telling the truth. Integrity means having good character. This month we will be focusing on honesty and why we should tell the truth. K-2 students will read the book "Lying Up a Storm" by Julia Cook. This is a great book for younger students because it teaches the difference between itty bitty lies and great big whopper lies. 3-5 students will be learning about integrity and what it means when we lie to other people. We lose others trust if we are not honest with them. Also this month, our 5th grade students will be getting ready to register for middle school. We will be focusing on behaviors that the students need in order to be successful.

National School Counselor Week
