OVUU Task Force Community Working Group Recap

The OVUU Board appointed Planning Task Force (Task Force) hosted a very engaged Community Input Working Group on Monday, April 29th. The goal of the meeting was to receive community input on initial plan elements that outline proactive solutions for the district focused on the next 2-5-10 years to account for a series of triggers that may impact change (declining enrollment, legislation, facilities maintenance, etc.).

The initial plan was developed over 15 months, 25 meetings, thorough review of 92 pages of district data and ongoing community input.

A Farewell Message from Mr. Houston

It has been six years since I started working here at Lothrop and what a journey it has been, but sadly this year will be my last here at Lothrop. Many of you know that I live in New York and travel everyday to Lothrop, Leicester, and Sudbury to assist our students in expressing themselves and developing their creativity. I have accepted a position closer to home which will allow me to be more available for my family. I will miss quite a lot here at Lothrop, but I will miss the students the most. They are such smart, talented, and beautiful children and I wish great things for them in the future. Thank you for being an amazing community.

Do you have Library books in your car?

All books are due back to the library on May 31st.

Late notices will go home the week of June 3rd.

We are due to complete an inventory this year and the more books returned by 5/31, the more helpful that will be. Thank you!

Decorating and set up will begin on Wednesday, June 12 @ 5pm at the Fire House. Clean up will take place after the reception.

We will need someone willing to order and pick up 25 'congrats graduate' balloons on the day of graduation (PTO will reimburse for this expense)
