Cardinal Connections - Families
March 30, 2020
Dear, CVE Families!
As we enter the third week of our school closure, we miss our students more than ever.
We recognize that a school is not just a building where instruction occurs but also a place where we come together and stay connected as a community. Even though we are not physically able to come together, we are making every effort to stay connected.
We hope you enjoyed and participated in our virtual spirit week last week. It was wonderful to engage our students even though we were not physically together. We have created another virtual spirit week opportunity for this week. Essential workers are important everyday heroes; let’s honor and celebrate them this week. For more details and information, please see the attached document or click here.
Attached (at the bottom) you will find the supplemental learning activities for this week. Our staff members have been collaborating and working hard to provide meaningful activities that will enhance our students’ social, emotional, academic and physical skills.
Since next week is our scheduled Spring Break, supplemental learning activities will not be emailed on Monday, April 6, 2020. Once we receive additional information from the State and Michigan Department of Education, we will update you on our next steps.
If you are seeking additional activities to challenge your child academically, we encourage our families to utilize the district’s Learn at Home webpage.
Our teaching staff will be available to communicate via email or their unique classroom platform. Teachers will be checking their email during the work week and are available if you have any questions.
Our district is conducting a technology survey this week. Would you please take the following short survey regarding computer access at home? Click here for the survey link.
In an effort to support our community, Chippewa Valley Schools will be collecting the extra hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and gloves in our buildings and donating to local hospitals in need. Many of our families have donated these items to our schools and we want to make you aware of this community effort.
Take care of yourselves and your family and thank an Everyday Hero that is making a difference in our community.
Stay Well,
Niyoka Wright
Principal
