The students seem to be enjoying our unit on animals and the planet so far!
Mrs. Boyer's Reading Advancement Program
This week, we continued to read about World War II and learned about the Holocaust. The students researched a Holocaust survivor and presented it to the class. We had many insightful conversations, and the students did great with a sensitive topic. Next week, we are going to finish up our World War II unit with analyzing the decision to drop the atomic bomb. We are going to work on sequencing and putting events in the correct order. We will continue to use Achieve 3000 to comprehend the texts and answer the questions.

We will begin the week by learning about the Louisiana Purchase. At the end of the week, we will take a break from Unit 5 to prepare for our field trip. We will learn about abolitionists and the Underground Railroad.

Students completed their Populations and Resources tests this week so be looking for those grades in Skyward soon. They will be the first summative grades for the quarter so have the potential to make a big impact on their overall grade. Next week, we will be starting our Genetics Unit.
