Overpopulation is one of the biggest current issues on earth. Approximately 75 million live births occur every year. Scientists all over the world are very concerned by overpopulation. Something I learned from this article is that even though there are many other issues on earth, such as global warming, overpopulation is by far our biggest problem. Most of society does not realize how big of a problem overpopulation is. The reason it is such a big issue is that their is no solution to reducing it. By 2050, the population is expected to rise to 10 billion. This is going to be a disaster, because there won't be enough natural resources for everyone. I wouldn't say that this article refutes what I have heard, but I have not read an article that says overpopulation is our biggest current issue. Most articles I have read about earths issues are about natural disasters. This article is makes it clear that overpopulation is the earths biggest issue.
