BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - TONIGHT, THURSDAY, MARCH 16, 2023
All are invited to attend tonight's Board of Education meeting where the BOE will approve and adopt a tentative budget for the 2023-2024 school year. If you cannot attend the meeting in person, please be sure to view the meeting through our website as meetings are streamed live and can be accessed prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org.
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.

SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVISORY GROUP HOSTING A RESOURCE FAIR - SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH

EDUCATOR AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSON OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION PROGRAM - DEADLINE TO SUBMIT NAMES IS TOMORROW, MARCH 17TH BY 4:00 P.M.
The deadline is fast approaching to submit your submissions! All submissions must be received by tomorrow, Friday, March 17th by 4:00 p.m.

Our educators and educational support people are our silver linings and we hope you will consider celebrating one (or more!) of our faculty with a nomination letter. Educators include content/grade-level teachers, special education teachers, and all educational specialists. Educational Support People include secretaries, custodians, bus drivers and paraprofessionals.

STUDENTS DONATE OVER $1,800 TO SOCIAL SERVICES
Students in Political Literacy and Civic Education (PLACE) donated $1,850.00 and 10 bags of food to South Brunswick Social Services this past week. The collection was from their annual holiday drive. PLACE honors its legacy of public service each year with the holiday fundraiser that has donated over $6,000.00 and 25 bags of food over the last 3 years alone.

HELP REPLENISH THE FOOD BANK
The SBHS Viking Leadership Alliance is running a food drive for Replenish Food Bank (formerly MCFOODS). Donations are being collected through March 24th. Donations can be dropped off at the main entrance of the South Brunswick High School. High School students can bring them to their 1A class, the library, or the Activities Office. Non perishable food items and clean reusable bags are being collected. Please click here to view a list of items that are needed. **Please no glass!**
