Krum High School 2016-17

August 5, 2016

Greetings Bobcats! On behalf of our administration, faculty, and staff, welcome to KHS! We are looking forward to an outstanding year at Krum High School. In just a few weeks, we will begin the first day of school (Monday, August 22, 2016). In the meantime, we wanted to remind you about registration and other important dates around the corner.

If you missed central registration last week, please come by our office between 8:00 and 4:00 to complete your paperwork. Summer hours are over and we are now open on Fridays. In order to save time, you may complete the forms at home and then bring them with you (along with proof of residency). All new and returning students must register.

On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, we will have schedule pick-up and 9th Grade orientation. Schedule pick-up for 12th, 11th, and 10th grade students will be from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. If your student purchased a yearbook last year, he or she may pick it up during this time.

Student Council will host Fish Camp (9th grade orientation) beginning at 3:00 in the Performing Arts Center. Students will also receive their schedule as part of the orientation process.

Our campus is still in the process of getting a face lift; and we are preparing for an outstanding year. The new construction is progressing nicely and the new carpet looks great. We are thankful for the improvements made to our campus.

Last week we had Midnight Madness. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. Our students are working hard in two-a-days in football, volleyball, band, and this next week, cross country will begin. In just a few more weeks, summer will end and routines will be back in place.

We look forward to working with you throughout the year. If you have any questions, compliments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Cherish the final days of summer memories with the ones you love.

Go Bobcats!

Krum High School recently benefited from the hard work and donation of time, talent and treasures of Bryce Segars, Krum Boy Scouts, B&B Stone, and Landmark Nurseries. Bryce has been working with KHS Administration throughout the summer for his Eagle Scout Project - campus beautification. Bryce secured donations of all materials, created plans, and led the beautification project. Generations of Bobcats will benefit from this generous gift.
