Elementary Band/Music Concert
Elementary students from all three elementary schools joined for an incredible performance last night at Wamogo. Under the direction of Band Teacher Caitlin Yovino and Choral Teacher Sarah Bills, the students excelled!
Through this unique program, GCS sixth graders analyzed President Abraham Lincoln's historical speeches and the fundamentals of performance and public speaking skills. Students worked via distance-learning with Miss Rachel, a teaching artist at Ford's Theatre, in Washington, DC. At the end of this project, Miss Grace's Class was invited to create a video of the speech, "The Gettysburg Address" to showcase their performance skills.
