Access to Academic Apps and Tools from our Classrooms at Home
Wayne offers digital access to most of the tools or applications that we use in the classroom on a daily basis, and you can be use them at home. Please follow the instructions in this document to gain access to all those resources.
Our next Parent Newcomer Meeting for International Families will take place on Wednesday, February 27 , 2019
Our LAP Immigrant Support, Mrs. Bukola Akinbola, is holding a monthly meeting with our new international parents. Mrs. Akinbola works with families who have been enrolled at our US schools for less than 3 years.
- Discuss your rights and responsibilities between parents and schools
- Wayne Township Adult Education available options
- Advocating for your students
- How to support your child at home and at the school
- How to encourage their language learning without forgetting their own
- Community resources, games, prizes, and other useful information...
Please be in the look out for an invitation letter for our February 27th meeting.
Location: 1220 S. High School Rd, Indianapolis IN 46241.
Times: You may choose between the 11:15 am or the 5:30 pm meeting.
This meeting will be cancelled if Wayne Township schools are closed.

Do you want to help other adult learners?
Our Adult Education program is looking for bilingual volunteers to help adult learners with English, Math, History, and other subjects in their quest to pass their High School Equivalence Diploma. Please fill out this form to apply:

An important element of our program is working with parents to develop student skills.
We thank all parents who are willing to participate in activities before and after school. Students enjoy seeing the importance their parents show in getting involved with the school.
The Job Center at The Indianapolis Public Library
What is the Job Center?
The Job Center helps you find a job. The Job Center is for anyone looking for a job or simply
looking to improve basic computer and job-seeking skills.
What does the Job Center offer?
• Individual help, computers, and resources: Each Job Center is staffed by a Job Center
Assistant and equipped with computers, internet access, free flash drives, free printing, and other job-seeking necessities.
• Your own job-search account: With a library card, you can create an account on Indy PL’s own Career Transitions website, where you can write resumes and cover letters, search for jobs, and get training in all aspects of building a career.
Where can I find the Job Center?
Job Center sessions are open workshops at the Central Library and eight other Indy PL Branch Libraries. You can arrive and leave anytime when a Job Center is open. Here are the locations and hours near Wayne Township:

Free Dental Screening for children at IU
UI will be Providing free dental screenings, fluoride treatments, and preventative dental treatment for local children in need.
