Where the Red Fern Grows

This is the best book I have ever read. It has happiness, comedy, horror, adventure, loyalty and tragedy all in one book.
The beginning of the book started off as a boy and the love of his dogs, which relates to me very well because I'm an animal lover. What kept the excitement up was all the different turns and intriguing parts of the book. You never knew what was coming next, whether if it was exciting or devastating you couldn't just put the book down and walk away.
At the end of the book, I felt like the little boy because the way he felt at the end of the novel related to me on so many different levels because his story and my story were very similar.
" I figured the lion had scented my pups. The more I thought about anything harming them, the madder I got. I was ready to die for my dogs."
" I buried Little Ann by the side of Old Dan. I knew that was where she wanted to be. I also buried apart of my life with that dog."
" I told them I wasn't giving up until my dogs did."
