Iowa 1:1 Conference
The Iowa 1:1 Institute exists to:
Help the Midwest’s 1:1 districts learn from each other about innovative teaching, learning, and administrative practices that are occurring in their districts;
Build excitement and ‘buzz’ around 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in the state; and
Help others who are interested in 1:1 computing learn more about how to get started and be successful.
The institute is open to anyone interested in 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in P-12 schools, whether they currently are working in such a program or just want to learn more.

3D Printing Capabilties at GWAEA
GWAEA is now offering professional development for local educators to help them understand how to use 3D printers in the classroom outside of the traditional use in Project Lead the Way. A report released by the NMC Horizon Project highlighted that 3D printing will have a massive impact on education, particularly in the STEM areas in the next 3-5 years. 3D printing provides a tool for rapid prototyping and production, allowing students to be able to reach higher levels of thinking and problem solving as they experiment in their learning. More information can be found on the GWAEA site
