The patronage system in Ancient Rome was between a patron (a protector,sponsor, and benefactor of the client.) and a client and if the patron possesses greater wealth,power, and prestige that enabled him to help the client. Some help might be representation in a court of law a loan of money or influencing buisness deals or political campaigns. That is how the patronage system works


What were classes based on and how did they move up

Mens class depended on heredity,property owned, money, citizenship, and freedom you could move up if you gained anymore of these items. While the women were based off of their fathers social class.
