SIS/SMS COVID-19 UPDATE
May 13, 2020
~~culture. relationships. future ready~~
Good Evening,
I am not really sure what happened to the first two weeks of May 2020, but here we are. I hope this finds you and your family healthy and safe during our COVID-19 closure. I know this has been a challenge, however, I am proud of all the work that students and staff have accomplished. I would also like to add that I am proud of our families for their commitment to their children’s education. I know it is not easy being the teacher at home. You have all done a fabulous job of keeping students focused and reassured that the work is important.
I want our entire school community to know that I intentionally didn’t send out a newsletter last week in order to give you all a break. I know you are all being inundated with emails and other forms of notification from the schools. Just know that it is that time of year when we are trying to finish up this school year and prepare for the next. That requires a lot of communication, much of which would have been done during the regular school day. However, we all know that since March 13th, not a lot has been regular in our routines.
We have a lot going on right now. So please make sure you read each of the headings that follow my message. Some deal primarily with eighth graders, while other headings deal with our returning students. As I have stated before, we are doing our best to keep you informed with the information you need, while being considerate of your time.
As I stated above, please go to each of the headings below to make sure you are up to date with the goings on as they pertain to your individual students. I wish you all health and safety during these challenging times. You are all in my thoughts and can’t wait until I have the opportunity to see everyone back at school. I miss the kids terribly!!
Mr. Proctor

The program will be July 27 to August 7. It will be 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday through Thursday and then 8:00 am to noon on Friday.
There is a virtual parent information meeting tonight at 6:00 pm. Here is the link to the meeting.
