Announcements & Other Exciting Things

  • I hope you enjoyed your Spring Break!
  • It's that time of year; TEST PREP TIME! Look for a test prep folder coming home each night and an email with more information about what to do with it.
  • There will not be reading comprehension, vocabulary, or skills tests from our StoryTown book these next 4 weeks. We will also not be introducing any new spelling words.

Reading/ Language Arts

No reading story this week :)

I will collect the last round of reading logs (March) on April 1st. Keep reading for free pizza!

We will be reviewing the math concepts that we have learned so far this school year over the course of the next 3 weeks in preparation for the state test.

At home, please continue to work with your student on their basic facts in all 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Flash cards work well, as do the many iPhone and iPad apps available for free!

Science/ Social Studies

This year, our third grade science skill is "forces" and our third grade social studies skill is Oklahoma History. We will be working on these topics throughout the school year.

Here are a few things we could use for the classroom if you are interested in donating!

  • Clorox Wipes
  • Plain #2 Pencils (Dixon/Ticonderoga brand)
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Glue Sticks
  • Wide Ruled Notebook Paper
