Director's Message
This week has been a particularly active week in moving towards our vision to become a world-class school.
We now have clear curriculum guidelines and we are working on a website redesign so that parents and students will have access to the learning journeys.
Shortly we will be repeating the GL assessments so we will have more robust data on your child’s progress and indeed their specific learning journey.
We also had visitors from Apple and indeed many of our teachers are now becoming qualified Apple teachers. Our aim to become equal or better than the 52 Apple Distinguished Schools EMEA is well on target with our students and teachers impressing the visitors on how technology can really help accelerate learning.
Our British Schools Overseas (BSO) visitor, Mark Evans completed an audit at the school and confirmed our readiness to validate our status to offering a robust curriculum benchmarked with the British National curriculum
The school is in its final stages in preparing to become a recognised CIS school, thanks to all the parents who have contributed to this process.
We are also very close to our candidacy for MYP and DP, with an aim to become the best technology based IB school in the U.A.E.
I am also delighted to inform you that we have now almost completed recruitment for the new academic year … a formidable team of staff.
The continuing views from the parents and students are welcome and drive our vision. As reality approaches us, we see our students become leaders in academic and sporting arenas compared to other schools in the Middle East. Thank you for your support, encouragement and for entrusting your child to Ajman Academy.
As we prepare our student Year Book - let’s all also reflect on moments of positivity and happiness at Ajman Academy. Any contributions welcome.
