Giving the Gift of Hope
As a Kids At Hope district, we “time travel” with our students and have many discussions about their future careers.. and what colleges may get them there.
To help get them thinking about different colleges, we collected donations so that every third grade student at Washington Community Schools would receive a college sweatshirt for Christmas!
Thank you to our community for your generous donations to help us make this a reality!

Addison Stoll - Why I Teach at Washington Community Schools
"I am proud to teach at Washington Community Schools. They offer a lot of things and opportunities to the students and staff in the ways of technology and other opportunities, different programs such as the STEM club and Robotic teams. There is something that everyone can get involved in and that they really can enjoy. The number one reason I love to teach, is because I love to be able to build the relationships with students, hoping that I can be a positive role model and make a difference in some of their lives."

WHS Senior Brody Wilson Elected Indiana State BETA President
Congratulations to Brody Wilson, the next Indiana State BETA President!
With the help and support of his club, Brody was elected as the next Indiana State Beta President to serve during 2024-25. His goal is to be a leader who listens, serves, and advocates for his fellow Betas to continue to keep Indiana Beta a strong, united club.
Other activities: Brody has been a three-year member of the cross-country team earning a Regional bid, MVP, All-Conference, and Captain, for his team this year. He plans to participate in track this year, as well. He is a member of the Student Council as a class representative. He is a leader in the Daviess County Youth Fellowship Bible Study and our school's FCA.
"Brody is a strong leader. He had a goal of being the Indiana State Beta President. He worked for this goal throughout his high school career. He built a campaign to be proud of and practiced his speaking skills to deliver a killer speech on stage," said WHS Beta sponsor Sara Kelso. "He is looking forward to Beta Nationals in Savannah, Georgia, and is networking with Betas across the country to get his name out there to earn votes! Good luck to Brody!
