The Titan Way - Respectful Language, Attitude and Actions
Thanks for a great first week back from the break. It's been a fun week with a student challenge to sing the alma mater with me as well as defeating Bonita to keep the boot. We also met with the Curriculum Specialist and AVID teachers to discuss Titan Boot Camp. With that in mind, here are some big picture items for your consideration:
A. Upcoming FAC. I will be meeting with your Union Rep soon to create the agenda for our Oct. 23rd meeting. Please let your representatives know of any concerns.
B. Classroom Needs. I am meeting with Ivan this week to discuss any new issues that have come up. If you have classroom concerns, please fill out the information on the link below.
C. Cycle and 5K Eastlake. We need community partners in this process. The Eastlake Education Foundation are generous supporters of our school's mission and provide us with many different resources including a check for $20,000! Please see the flyer below and let's have you and your family and friends join us! We need 70 families (staff and community) to represent our awesome high school. I am being challenged by Eastlake Middle. Let's go team! Here is our direct LINK. PLEASE SHARE!! Hope to see you there.
D. Marine Band Performance. See the flyer below about this awesome performance coming to EHS on October 26th. I hope you will consider watching this amazing event.

E. Branding. We met with several of our own teachers who graduated from Eastlake High School to discuss our next steps for branding. We hope to have some updates and an actual file for your use in the near future.
F. Bootcamp. The team will be sending you instructions/material in regards to the the Bootcamp. Please participate. It's great for our students and WASC!
G. Homecoming. Check out the WAAG for all of the activities of this exciting week. Let's celebrate our students and show our great school pride.
G. The Alma Mater Challenge. A certain teacher has asked students to sing and record themselves singing the Alma Mater in front of me. I am trying to make sure I have it memorized as well! Get in on the action and have your students learn and sing it as well. It's been absolutely hilarious and it gives me such great pride to see the students singing their hearts out.
Let's get to it Titans! See you soon.
