Spelling: Inflected Endings ( -ed and -ing)

Math
Our next unit will focus on fractions.
You child will need to know
- adding fractions with like denominators
- how to reduce a fraction to its simplest form 3/12 can be reduced to 1/4 by dividing the numerator and denominator by 3
- find equivalent fractions by multiplying or dividing the numerator and denominator by the same number
- compare fractions with like and unlike numerators and denominators
Please continue working on multiplication and division fact fluency.
Vocabulary to know: improper fractions, mixed number
Fraction math test is Friday, February 3.
Science and Social Studies
Next week in science, students describe how the Earth is constantly changing through the processes of weathering, erosion, and deposition.
Vocabulary to focus on : natural resources, decomposition, weathering, erosion, retention and conservation.
Science Test - Feb 7th (Tuesday)
