Parent/Teacher Conferences in March
Important Junior High scheduling information for our 6th grade students
Dear 6th grades families,
Starting on Tuesday, February 22nd, middle school counselors and teachers will be sharing scheduling information with the students. We will be sending the Junior High Scheduling Hub out to the families on this day as well. Please plan on taking time the week of February 21st to look over the hub with your student, there are videos and other documents to help them through the scheduling process. At the bottom of the scheduling hub is a Google Form where students and parents can submit questions to the administrators or counselors.
Attached is the scheduling timeline with the links to the March 1st virtual parent meetings. Please note that there are different links for Lakeview and Ridgeview. The meetings will be a brief overview of the scheduling process followed by a Q&A session with school counselors and administrators. Families with 6th grade students going into 7th grade can join the meeting at 6:30 PM, and our families of 7th graders going into 8th grade can join at 7:30 PM.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Junior High Principals; Rachael Hanagan (rachael_hanagan@plsd.us) for Lakeview and Beth Richardson (beth_richardson@plsd.us) for Ridgeview.
March Movement
“MARCH MOVEMENT”
A TGMS Morning Walking Program
Tuesdays and Thursday beginning March 1, 2022
During the month of March, Mrs. Gumm, our Physical Education teacher, and Mrs. Saksa, School Counselor, will offer "March Movement", a morning walking program. This program will be offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 - 8:25 am. We will be outside, weather permitting so please dress accordingly. If we have inclement weather (it's Ohio after all!) we will walk inside. "March Movement" will kick off Tuesday, March 1st. Students may enter through the Main Entrance. Appropriate footwear is required. Come join us while we work on moving more during the month of March.
A MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE TO ALL CURRENT 6TH GRADE STUDENTS:
Dear Parents of Current 6th grade Students:
Per the Ohio Department of Health, all 7th graders must show documentation of receiving the
T-dap and Meningococcal (MCV4) immunizations before being allowed to enter school next school year. You may take the letter (located below) with you to your doctor to use as
documentation of these vaccinations, or you may submit an immunization report
with the dates of both vaccinations. Please return this documentation as soon as possible to your child’s school nurse. If this is not provided during the 6th grade school year, you will need to send this information to the junior high that your child will attend prior to the beginning of next school year. The middle school nurses will forward on all immunization documentation received to the junior high nurses at the end of this year. Please call your child’s school nurse or our District School Health Supervisor with any questions.
Thank you.

TGMS Family Feedback
We are interested in what you think - click on the link below and share your feedback with us!
This year, more than ever, we know that students and families may need extra support. We strive to be as inclusive as we possibly can. However, at times, we fall short in supporting our students and families with issues and concerns that affect them, such as social justice, mental health, academic support, friendships/relationships, etc. Your voice is crucial as we begin to reflect on our work and look at what we can do better to support our students and families. Ultimately, we know that our kids succeed when families, schools, and communities work together.
Please use the spaces below to share your thoughts on what we are doing well (and should continue doing) and what we need to work on moving forward.
We will review responses on a weekly basis and provide updates and feedback to families in the Community Corner section of the Weekly Newsletter.
