Summer programs

Planning for summer 2019 is currently underway. Elementary schools will host programs that extend the learning opportunities in reading and math. High school summer programs will focus on credit recovery for students who need additional time and instruction to stay on track for graduation. Additional programming will include opportunities for students to participate in band, orchestra and community education experiences. As information becomes available, it will be posted at

School Improvement and Innovation Plan

Every year, each school creates an Integrated School Improvement and Innovation Plan (ISIIP). In the fall, the District instructional team visits with building-level teams to review these plans and provide feedback and support. Plans are revisited with building teams again at mid-year to assess progress and end-of-year to determine goal achievement. At the Board meeting, Superintendent Lennox presented an overview of the mid-year progress on the 2018-2019 ISIIP plans and shared the priority work that will be happening at school sites over the course of this academic year. The Board discussed issues and updates related to AMSD and Northwest Metro 916.
