Message from the Principal
We appreciate your efforts to get the kids her on time each day. Our tardies are at an all-time low! It is so important for your child to be at school from beginning of the day. Research shows that starting the day on time and not coming in late helps with academics and achievement. Unfortunately, a late child will miss the morning routine and structures which helps one get their day off to a good start. It also impacts the entire class, causing a late start for everyone and missing out on valuable instructional time.
We especially don’t want the kids to miss their Morning Meeting with the class. It is a great experience with the whole group and a great daily social emotional lesson (SEL).
It is also important to finish the day strong. – Please refrain from picking up your child before the end of the day. Not only does it interrupt instruction and activities. Teachers must take their attention away from the group in order to prepare a child to leave early. There will be no pick ups after 2:30pm starting Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
