WHERE THEY LIVED AND HOW THEY GOT FOOD

the Atakapans are a Southwest Louisiana/Southeast Texas tribe of ancient Indians who lived in the Gulf of Mexico’s northwestern crescent . they hunted and ate large reptiles and the used the oil from alligators as an insect repellent so they wouldn't get sick or bit. the atakapans did not grow food they were hunters and gatherers that was how they obtained their food.
