OHE families,
It’s hard to believe, but we have made it to the end of our school year! School will dismiss on Tuesday at 11:45 am for the summer.
We are so proud of our student's efforts this year. On behalf of all the staff at Oak Hill, thank you for your support of our school.
It is a joy to serve the students, staff, and parents of this community. I am looking forward to spending some time with my family this summer and returning for another great school year next year!

Last Day of School - Tuesday, May 24th 11:45 am dismissal
The last day of school is Tuesday, May 24th.
It is a half day of school with dismissal at 11:45 am (Walkers start dismissing at 11:40 am)
Yearbooks
We are so grateful to our parent volunteers with the PTO who design and put together our yearbook each year. Yearbooks are being distributed to those that purchased them. PTO does have a limited number of additional yearbooks to purchase available in the office.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found items are in the front hallway on tables. If you are missing any jackets or water bottles, have your student check the tables! Any unclaimed items will be donated on Wednesday.
Oak Hill Summer Construction
Oak Hill is undergoing construction this summer. Our school will be closed from May 27th until the end of July/beginning of August.
We will have a small office presence and Oak Hill phone line at Cottonwood Point Elementary school for the first week of June. Please call 239-6900 or email ohe-admins@bluevalleyk12.org
if you have questions.
All Oak Hill office staff is off for the summer starting June 13th and does not return until the end of July. We will return all messages when we return in July.
Watch your email for construction updates/information! We are excited for our remodeled spaces!
Important Information for Next Year
- Monday, August 15th: Popsicle Pop In - 5 -6 pm Students and parents can come and meet their teacher, drop off school supplies, and enjoy a popsicle on the playground.
- Wednesday, August 17th: First Day of School for grades 1-5 and Kindergarten Orientation sessions throughout the day
- Thursday, August 25th: Back to School Night for Parents/Guardians 5-6 pm (students do not attend) Come and listen to presentation by your student's classroom teacher and find out classroom information for the year.

Doors open for arrival: 8:25 am - this is the soonest students can be dropped off.

Dismissal
Walkers dismissed at: 3:35 pm
Car line starts as soon as walkers clear the crosswalks and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

PTO Scholarship Winners
Congratulations to our Oak Hill Elementary PTO Scholarship winner, Maya Welde!
Maya is a truly amazing senior at Blue Valley Northwest, who is a leader and a community volunteer! Maya also makes academics a top priority!
Her heartfelt essay encompasses how Maya was equipped by the Oak Hill staff and community to prepare her for Oxford, Blue Valley Northwest and now on into college as she will be attending the University of Kansas in the fall! Congrats Maya!
Congratulations to the Denise Andrew's Future Educator Award winner, Hayley Numrich!
Hayley is an exceptional Senior who has excelled in basketball at Blue Valley Northwest! Her coach says that Hayley is a "beast" on the basketball court while making academics a priority as well. Hayley plans on attending Baker University in the Fall and will be playing on the women's basketball team. She credits Mrs. Andrew's with being the first person to introduce her to the game she loves, the game of basketball!
Both Maya Welde and Hayley Numrich will be reading their inspiring essays to the Oak Hill student body. Thank you ladies for showing us just how high Oak Hill Hawks can soar!
Both Scholarship winners were anonymously selected by PTO board members.
End of Quarter Information - Viewing Canvas Courses and Fourth Quarter Grades
End of Quarter Information - Viewing Canvas Courses and Fourth Quarter Grades
At the end of each quarter, courses in Canvas will conclude and will no longer be visible on the Canvas app and website. Courses for this year’s fourth quarter will conclude on May 23rd. Report cards will be generated and families will be able to view second quarter grades on ParentVUE at the end of the day on June 1, 2022.
How do I view my child’s report card?
If you have questions about Standards Based Grading as you view your child’s report card, please review the information found on the Elementary Report Card resource page.
Each new quarter, classroom teachers will publish their next quarter Canvas course. As courses are published, students and families will again be able to see current courses on the Canvas app and Canvas website. For Canvas parent resources, visit www.bluevalleyk12.org/canvas.

Nut Safer Information
Blue Valley School’s Nut Safer Guidelines will be implemented throughout the school year for daily snacks.
· Classroom snacks must be from the Nut Safer list.
· Nut Safer seating is available in the café during lunch
