Ramadan
We celebrate the BEST holiday in the world and here's why.....
It is a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer. Fasting is one of the five fundamental principles of Islam. Each day during Ramadan, followers of Islam, known as Muslims, do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset.
When is it celebrated and what is included to the holiday?!?
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which strict fasting is observed in daylight hours, begins on 18 June this year and ends on the evening of 17 July. Many Muslims try to give up bad habits during Ramadan and some will pray more or read the Koran.Even though it is celebrated in June until July, it happens to be winter for us when it is celebrated for the Muslims.
Pictures of people celebrating this amazing holiday!!! We took them personally.

During worship time, we read a Koran,
What is a Koran?
the Islamic sacred book, believed to be the word of God as dictated to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel and written down in Arabic. The Koran consists of 114 units of varying lengths, known as suras ; the first sura is said as part of the ritual prayer. These touch upon all aspects of human existence, including matters of doctrine, social organization, and legislation.
