News from the Art Room

The students at Page have been so busy these past few weeks!

Kindergarten, First and Second grade classes have all been working on cheerful cut paper landscapes and seascapes using colorful hand painted papers they painted themselves.

Third grade has been assembling recycled cardboard portraits inspired by the abstract portraits of Pablo Picasso in celebration Of Earth Day.

4th grade students worked with the children’s book illustrator Giles Laroche to create beautiful cut paper collages of the birds and fish of the Northeast Region of the United States.

5th grade has been learning to design and sew an original Ugly Dolls.

6th grade have been working hard hand molding imaginative pottery animal bowls.

And the good news is that all of their wonderful pieces of artwork will be displayed on Wednesday, June 8th from 5-7pm during the Annual Page School Art Show. So come join us in celebrating the young artists of Page School and enjoy a refreshing popsicle as you wander through this incredible exhibit.
