Special Guest Reading: Our Superintendent, Dr. Carter, delighted our first graders with a special reading session.
100 Days Smarter Celebration: We had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school with creative outfits and engaging activities.
Math Night: Families had a memorable evening exploring math through fun games and activities.
Black History Month: SWHS students honored the rich history and achievements of the Black community by reading to our 4th and 5th grade students.
Valentine's Day: Students spread love and cheer by crafting heartfelt Valentine cards for our senior citizens.
Chinese New Year: Saturday is Chinese/Lunar New Year. We celebrated by wearing red today and enjoyed treats from some of our Chinese students.
Super Bowl Kindness: Donations poured in for the South Windsor Food Bank during the Super Bowl, showing our commitment to kindness. We have over 50 boxes of donations. A special thank you to each and everyone of you who showed their love by giving.
Golden Spatula Winner: Congratulations to the winner of the Golden Spatula celebrated during lunch waves!

Chinese New Year is a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. In Chinese, the festival is commonly referred to as the Spring Festival! Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture, and has strongly influenced Lunar New Year celebrations of its 56 ethnic groups.

Students in Ms. Parent, Ms. Devlin, Ms. Donovan, Ms. Schaffman, and Ms. Sandoval's classes were awarded with the Golden Spatula! They got the royal treatment with a fancy table, golden tablecloth, and balloons to celebrate!
📖 Sara Weeks is visiting Pleasant Valley! 📖
Courtesy of the PV PTO and SWPS, Sarah Weeks will be visiting Pleasant Valley on Monday, March 18th. She is known for her relatable characters and engaging stories. Her books explore themes of friendship, family, and self-discovery.
