Denmark to start human trials
To begin in 2015
Trials being led by top researchers of stem cells
University of Copenhagen and the hospital of the city, Rigshospitalet, are the main contributors to these trials. These trials are being led by some of the world's top leaders in stem cell research, including American research professor, Steve A. Goldman. He will be leading the trials.
Multiple Sclerosis patients targeted
For these trials, the tests will be conducted on volunteers with multiple sclerosis. Tests that were conducted two years ago on mice showed positive results. The goal of the experiments on mice was to increase the amount of white matter in mice, which was accomplished. The scientists hope to have the same success in 2015.
