This *special edition* newsletter contains all of the information you will need to know for the upcoming trip to San Antonio!
Saturday's Rehearsal
Afterwards we will have a send-off performance at 6:00 PM!
All friends, family, and alumni are invited! Come out and support your band!
*Important* Trip Medication
Medication will be collected by Ms. Hall. Please turn in any medication no later than Friday (11/1).
- Please only provide the amount needed for the trip.
- The medicine MUST be in the prescription bottle with an identified label.
- Please only turn in medication to Ms. Hall in the morning on Thursday or Friday. Do not turn in after school or throughout the day.
With a signed form, over-the-counter medications such as Ibuprofen or Tums can be kept with the student and are recommended to bring on the trip. The directors and chaperones are not allowed to distribute over the counter medicine to students. Please sign the second attached form to authorize permission for students to bring over-the-counter medicine on the trip.
- Please only provide the amount needed for the trip.
- Students may NOT distribute medicine to anybody else.

11:00 AM: Call Time for All Band & Diamond Members
11:00 - 12:30 PM: Marching Band Rehearsal
12:30 PM: Pack & Load
1:30 PM: Depart for San Antonio (Sack Lunch provided on the way)
***Stop at Buc-cee's In Temple!***
7:00 PM: Arrive at San Antonio (Pizza dinner provided at the hotel)
Monday, November 4th:
7:00 AM: Breakfast at Hotel
9:00 AM: Marching Band Rehearsal at Wheatley Heights Sports Complex
12:00 PM: Lunch at WHSC
3:30 PM: Prelims Performance
5:30 PM: Team Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe Riverwalk
7:30 PM: Return to Alamodome for Results

Please remember to pack light as this is only a two-night trip.

- Black socks (bring at least two pairs)
- Show Hair Supplies: hair ties, bobby pins, hairspray, etc.

- Band State Shirt (Monday after performance)

- At least two pairs of athletic shorts
- Comfy outfit for Sunday bus ride
- Non-Band Outfit for Tuesday (School Appropriate)
- Comfy outfit for ride back home Tuesday night

- Money for merchandise/souvenirs (optional)
- Something to do on the bus ride (homework, headphones, games etc.)
Toiletries/Hotel Needs:

- Video Game Consoles (small ones for bus ride are ok)

Ticket Prices and Sessions:
Ticket prices at the gate will be:
- Adult Double Session (Sessions 1/2, 2/3, or 4/5): $30
- Student (Grade 7-12) Double Session (Session 1/2, 2/3, or 4/5): $24
- Adult Single Sessions: $19
- Student (Grades 7-12) Single Sessions: $14
- Students in 6th Grade and under: Free
Session 1: 5A Prelims (Monday morning/afternoon/evening)
Session 2: 1A Prelims/5A Finals (Tuesday morning/afternoon)
Session 3: 1A Finals (Tuesday evening)
Session 4: 3A Prelims (Wednesday morning/afternoon)
Session 5: 3A Finals (Wednesday evening)

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to avoid congestion at the doors. The Box Office will open 75 minutes prior to the first performance of the day and doors will open 45 minutes prior to the first performance in each session.
Tickets are available in advance through Ticketmaster. Be advised that a Ticketmaster imposed service charge will apply:

Alamodome Rules and Regulations:
The Alamodome has specific rules and regulations regarding what can be brought into the facility:
- ONLY CLEAR BAGS ARE PERMITTED INTO THE ALAMODOME (See included picture below).
- No food, coolers or beverages.
- No balloons; No air horns; No signs may be hung or connected to poles or sticks; No weapons; and no selfie sticks.
- Individuals will be wanded and there will be security dogs stationed at the entrances and loading dock areas.
Parking:
Spectator parking will be adjacent to the Alamodome in LOT C (see map below). It is possible that this lot will fill up at some point during the day. Once the lot is full, spectators must find parking elsewhere. There are numerous public parking lots west of I-37 in the area around the Convention Center. LOT C will open each morning approximately 2 hours prior to the first band’s performance. Parking rates are set by the City of San Antonio. The parking rate for LOT C is $15.00 and is subject to change. There are no in and out privileges.

Patch and Apparel Sales
Patches and apparel will be sold onsite by licensed UIL sponsors, who are solely responsible for those products. Any questions related to this merchandise must be sent directly to those sponsors, whose information can be found at http://www.uiltexas.org/music/marching-band/state.
Contest Results
The results of Prelims and Finals will be posted approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of each conference Finals on the UIL web site at http://www.uiltexas.org/music/marching-band/state.
