Deforestation is the cutting down of trees for different purposes then what they are intended for like oils
How are trees important to the environment?
They give us oxygen, store carbon, and provide a home for millions of species

Agriculture is the leading cause in deforestation
What is the purpose for DEFORESTATION?
People cut down trees for Urbanization, Cattle, and Consumer goods.
What are the effects?
- Millions of species will lose their habitat
- Less air to BREATHE
- Soil erosion and flooding
- Increased green house gases
How does it affect Global warming
Removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the Clash and Burn technique
about 6 billion trees are cut down every year
Who does it effect?
It doesn't just stop at the millions of species in the rain forest. it also effects the loggers working for these companies because if deforestation stops they would be out of jobs.
Cons of Stopping Deforestation
- It would send the worlds economy down a very dark and scary hole
- Less room for expansion
Pros of Stopping Deforestation
- Less CO2 in the atmosphere
- Less flooding
- More wild life

While it may be necessary is having an extremely negative effect on our environment and it should stop.
