Families can find out more information here and can register students online. Leap into 9th Grade will take place at eight high schools June 24-July 15, and at Benson July 6-24. The program meets Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:30pm. Register by Friday, May 29. Please note that programming dates are subject to change due to social distancing guidance updates.
RUN FOR THE ARTS - HOME EDITION
Run for the Arts is typically hosted at Arleta and 40 other local schools to raise money for arts programs, supplies, and experiences for students. This year many school's runs were cancelled, so Run for the Arts is hosting a virtual run/walk/dance party on May 30th 1-1:30pm with any funds raised going to the Community Matching Fund, which supports schools with greater than 50% low-income students and struggle to raise money for the arts. While Arleta won't directly benefit from the funds, we encourage your families to participate in this fun event and donate if you can. There is no cost to register

Students living in Multnomah County, from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade, can participate in the design contest until May 31. Design pages are available for download or you can request a copy to be mailed to you in nglish, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese.
Once your design is complete, scan or take a photo of both sides of your form and email it to PBOT at biketobooks@portlandoregon.gov. We accept .jpgs, .pngs, and .pdfs. Make sure your image is clear and a higher resolution if possible. Make sure to keep the original copy.
Entries must be the original artwork of children in the following grade brackets: Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade, 3rd through 6th grade, and 7th through 12th grade. Multiple entries are welcome.
