As Assistant Principal of Colby Grade School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year in Colby. I am excited to have students back in the buildings, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. It is my hope that every child feels welcome, connected, and a part of our Colby Grade School family. • Dream vacation: A two week long trip to Europe!
• When I was in middle school: I did all things sports.
• Who inspires me the most: My students. They make me want to be the best teacher I can be!
• Favorite restaurant: El Dos de Oros
• On weekends I like to: Go to K-State games, run with my dogs, and spend time with my friends/family.
• Favorite movie: Cheaper by the Dozen
• Hidden talent: All things baking-I can make some pretty good cookies!
• I cheer for: K-State! Go cats!

• Dream Vacation: a trip to the Galápagos Islands. I’ve heard the wildlife encounters are amazing and I love anywhere with a beach!
• When I was in middle school: I enjoyed playing sports but was more of a quiet kid. I came into my personality more in high school!
• Who inspires me the most: My third grade teacher Mrs Moeckel. She was the most kind and welcoming person. I strive to make my students feel as loved as she made me feel.
• Favorite restaurant: The Elephant. Their food is incredible! When we travel, it’s usually anywhere with decent sushi.
• On the weekends I like to: Sleep in. Just kidding, I have an 8 month old! Our weekends are usually spent doing a project around the house or something fun with our son.
• Favorite movie: Toss up between Top Gun and Sweet Home Alabama.
• Hidden Talent: I was taught how to sew when I was little. Although I don’t see much anymore, I do like to make t-shirts with vinyl or sublimation!
• I cheer for: Colby Eagles (of course!) and the New Orleans Saints! You will find a football game of some sort on our TV from September to February!
• Most used emoji: My top 3 are 💕🫠🥺
