Momentum
A Vector Quantity
What is momentum?
Momentum is the quantity of the motion of a moving object. It is important to mention that all moving objects have momentum. If an object is not moving, then it has zero momentum. The equation of momentum can be written as:
Momentum (kg m/s) = Mass (kg) x Velocity (m/s)
Conservation of Momentum
The conservation of momentum is that the total momentum before an event/movement of an object is equal to the total momentum after an event.
