Congratulations to Bill Mendelsohn, Betty Casarico, Carol Zepato,s and Joe DeFalco who recently celebrated 20 or more years in the District.

We recently hosted David Levin the Co-Founcer of KIPP schools for a discussion and tour of BCA. In 1994, David co-founded KIPP with Mike Feinberg and established KIPP Academy. In 2000, the KIPP Foundation was founded to help train school leaders to expand KIPP by opening more KIPP schools. Today, KIPP is a network of 183 high-performing public schools around the nation. Following his visit, he sent us this email…

“Wow! We left today inspired beyond belief and challenged to raise the bar with the kids we worked with. You are building an incredible institution and your kids and families are deeply fortunate to have you in their lives. I fear that we are going to test your hospitality as we will want to visit again to try and help others experience what the bar of excellence can be for kids. There is simply no way that words can do it justice.” – David Levin Co-Founder KIPP

Dr. Donald Sebastian - NJIT

Recently, Rich Panicucci invited Dr. Donald Sebastian the Sr. Vice President for Research & Development at NJIT to speak at a recent Professional Development Day. Dr. Sebastian’s presentation, "Information is the New Electricity" makes the case for the Internet of Things representing the same transformational force as that of electric power generation and distribution in the period from 1880 – 1920. If you did not get a chance to see his presentation you can view it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D70aCKvvQTQ
