How do you get the Zika Virus?

You get the Zika Virus from the bite of an infected Aedes species mosqueto

What are the symptoms?

The most common symptoms are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivities (Red eyes)

Where/ when did it first show up?

It was first descoverd in 1947 also named after the Zika forest in Uganda

How many countrys has it reached?

The Zika virus reached about 20 countrys

What is being done to treat the patients?

There isnt a cure for it yet there trying to create one the only thing you can do is rest, and drink fluids to prevent dihydration. Take medicine such as acetaminophen (Tylenol®) or paracetamol to reduce fever and pain. Do not take aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) until dengue can be ruled out to reduce the risk of bleeding. If you are taking medicine for another medical condition, talk to your doctor or other healthcare provider before taking additional medication.

How can GMO remove the Zika-carrying mosquito population?

They can maybe stop them from reproducing with the Zika in them.
