Churchill School Principal Rachel Solomon introduced a number of students who demonstrated their chosen student attribute Global Perspective. The students presented about their school and what Global Perspective means to them.

Representatives from Wight & Co. presented information about space for a future full-day kindergarten program. Board members asked questions about the approaches presented and discussed next steps.

Dr. Kaczkowski shared information about a meeting with Glenbard District 87 regarding their proposed new start time. Due to the potential impact to District 41 bussing, District 41 has been engaged in conversions about how a start time change at Glenbard would impact our district.

Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter explained that the district’s three year auditor contract is coming to an end. He presented a renewal proposal for the next three years.

Introduction of Director of Student Services | watch
Dr. Kaczkowski welcomed the new Director of Student Services Libby Jansen. She explained that 30 applicants applied and after a screening process, the district brought in four candidates to interview with district-wide staff and parents. Both interview groups included representation from all five schools. Three candidates moved forward to meet with the cabinet team and participated in performance-based interviews that included a presentation and interview questions.
