Gandhi's march starts larger revolution to stop the British
Gandhi became international know for the salt march against the British taxes. Gandhi told British leaders of his march and that him and his followers would abolish the tax. He would do this with his movement of Satyagraha, peacefully marching to the Arabian sea. The thousands of people marching and millions of watching saw Gandhi make salt on the beaches of India; raise his hand full of salt and quote "With this, I am shaking the foundations of the British Empire."

The salt was then sold tax free to the people of India for the lower price and people were told of how to make the illegal salt. Around 60 thousand to 100 thousand with the salt or buying the salt were arrested and or badly beaten.
