Principal's Message

Looking ahead to November we have a an important event taking place. Our Student Led Conferences are one of those events that take place during the school year that our students are very excited to share with their family.

The partnership that we have with our parents is important to us. We strive to serve the partnership with our parents. Hosting our student led conferences is just one of the important events that we can invite parents to come to this great place we call Elmdale Early Years School.

This link will take you to our school Planning Priorities for this school year. This document will explain our priorities this year in efforts to serve the needs of our students. These priorities have been set in collaboration with our teaching staff.

We look forward to seeing everyone November 14th!

Have a wonderful November!

We Filled Terry's Bucket

Again this year, the students at Elmdale School filled Terry's Bucket full of $$$. The students raised $340.05. The money has been sent to the Terry Fox Foundation. Thank you for supporting this great event and thank you students for all the pies in the face!

Student Led Conferences

Our students are very excited to be showing their parents what they have been learning at school. On November 14, parents and their child(ren) will arrive at school during their pre booked appointments. During each 30 minute appointment, parents will have an opportunity to watch their child show them some of their exciting work that they have completed this term.

Parents, you will notice this year that the report cards are going out after the student led conferences. We have decided to try this approach this year to help lengthen the term for teachers in attempt to provide more time to work with students during the first term.

Here is the link if you have not made an appointment. http://elmdale.schoolappointments.com/

Parent Parking

Located on our main parking lot (Elmdale Street), we have our Family Parking lot. This is where all families park to pick up and drop off children. Parents must walk their child from their vehicle to the school playground. Please be aware that at these pick up and drop off times, we have school busses that enter and exit the school parking lot.

Friendly reminder that the parking lot at our Main Street entrance of the school is no longer leased by HSD and cars are not permitted to be parking on this lot. Thank you in advance for parking on our family parking lot.
