Social Emotional Learning Services
According to CASEL, social and emotional learning (SEL) is an integral part of education and human development. SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish supportive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
SEL skills fall into 5 core competencies: Self Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making.
Direct instruction in SEL skills has proven to decrease behavior problems and also increase student's prosocial behaviors and academic performance. Research also shows an increase in student's positive attitudes, relationships, and school climate.
There are 3 tiers to our SEL services:
Tier 1: Large group; whole class lessons for students
Tier 2: Small group intervention focused lessons
Tier 3: One on one SEL interventions tailored to the needs of each student
To request SEL services please contact Richael Fertig at richael.fertig@miu4.org.
* Fee for service $525 per day or $275 per half day
Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is a process for identifying problem behaviors and developing interventions to improve or eliminate those behaviors. A FBA consists of information-gathering procedures that result in a hypothesis about the function(s) that the behavior is serving for the student.
The process also results in the identification of environmental antecedents (what happened before the behavior occurred) and consequences (what happened after the behavior occurred) that are maintaining the behavior. The information gathered is used to develop an effective and efficient behavior plan.
To request a FBA please contact Richael Fertig at richael.fertig@miu4.org. All arrangements for the FBA need to be made prior to getting the PTE signed.
FBA Only $3000
FBA with Behavior Intervention Plan and Support $3500
