MONDAY MEMO

Weekly Principal and Campus Update

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year!

What are you doing this first week of school to share the Graduation Mindset message with our students? Wearing your college t-shirt on Wednesday and talking with your students about grades, performance, study skills, and more are all ways you can punctuate our message. Will students set goals with you?

Find ways to build those relationships right away. "Every child deserves a champion ~ an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be," Rita Pierson. Will students understand?: "I was somebody when I came (to Williams HS). I'll be a better person when I leave (Williams HS). I am powerful, and I am strong. I deserve the education that I get here (at Williams HS)," Rita Pierson.

Tech Titan Finalist~ Ramy Mahmoud

http://www.metroplextbc.org. Congratulations to Ramy Mahmoud who was honored as a Tech Titan Finalist on Friday! Ramy was one of only four teacher finalists in the Metroplex. It was wonderful to celebrate Ramy's accomplishment and to celebrate our school where technology integration and innovation are valued. I look forward to celebrating another Warrior Teacher this time next year!
