Certify Proposed Property Tax Levy

Director of finance Bridget Peterson reviewed proposed property tax levies to be certified to the county. Proposed levies for school districts carry the option of levying the "maximum," which means the Minnesota Department of Education calculates a district's allowable levy limit(s) that are set by state statute or voter approval. The Board approved the recommendation to certify the proposed property taxes as "maximum" for the payable 2021 tax levy.

Reopening of schools update

Superintendent Lennox gave an update on the transition to a blended learning model effective September 21. There will be a transition day for 6th graders and 9th graders on September 18 at their respective schools. Superintendent Lennox updated members on health and safety plans at the buildings and the readiness of staff to welcome students back.

Construction update

Representatives from Kraus Anderson (KA) and Wold provided an update on construction progress and timeline. District staff and personnel from KA shared insights about how the process is working and the progress that has been made to date. For details, click here. For ongoing updates, visit
