Dogsledding occurs in late winter early spring, or during cold weather

Usally starts in late march

Ends in early may

How to dogsled 101

How:
Mushers get pulled on a sled with a pack of nine to twelve dogs.

Dogs guide the mushers through the tracks but the mushers tell them where to go with commands

Why do mushers race

The race is to earn $69,000 and a new truck

To get things from place to place

Dogsledding could be a hobby

Aditional Information

The races can be dangerous because of the cold and the length of the races

The race can be more than 500 miles long.

Mushers use commands in case of an emergency
