Here are some important highlights:

  • This Wednesday is our big all-school field trip! Thank you to SO MANY of you who are signed up to chaperone or help keep activities running smoothly, we are so grateful to have such an involved community at OPE! Everyone who signed up will receive an email TODAY (Sunday) with more detailed information, if you have any questions before the event, please reach out to OakleyParkPTA@gmail.com. Let's all cross our fingers that the weather cooperates :)

  • The Spring Fair is coming up quickly as well, look for a signup genius to go out for that event soon along with more information. The fair will be held on June 2 at Walnut Creek due to the construction at OPE. All of our old favorites will be back and we have 3 grade levels that will get to experience the fair for the first time as an OPE Owl! As in the past, we will feature a silent auction style basket raffle. If you (or your employer or neighbor etc) would like to contribute an item or a basket for the auction, send an email to OakleyParkPTA@gmail.com. Contributing companies are recognized on the day of the event and again on our social media.

What does my student need on Wednesday?

  • Dress for the weather including Grey Oakley Park "lego" shirt
  • Disposable sack lunch *Don't forget to write your students name on the bag
  • Students who pre-order a lunch through Food Service will be given their lunch at the park
  • Disposable water bottle (we will have a refilling station)
  • Sunscreen- should be applied at home

Optional COVID testing now available at the ESC

The District is now offering optional COVID testing to our staff, students, and parents. Both Rapid and PCR tests are available. The testing will take place at the Educational Services Center (850 Ladd Road, Building D Walled Lake, MI 48390) on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2-7 p.m.

The COVID testing staff, provided by a third party, will be responsible for letting people in the side door on the south side of the building.

· If you have insurance, your insurance provider will be billed.

· If you do not have insurance, there is a cost of $110.00 for a PCR test and $50.00 for a rapid test - This comes as a result of the Federal Government no longer providing funding for testing.

There will be signage placed both inside and outside of the building. To set up an appointment for testing, please complete this requisition form.
