Teacher Spotlight: Miss Shannon Merrion

Every week we will shine a spotlight on one of our very own Hometown Staff members. This week we will meet Ms. Shannon Merrion

How long and what grades have you taught?

I have taught CASE for 5 years. Prior to teaching CASE, I taught middle school life skills for 1 year.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

I love traveling and want to go everywhere, but Spain and Portugal are high on my list right now. I love learning about different cultures.

What is the best thing about working at Hometown?

The best thing about Hometown are all the people I get to work with. The students are so much fun and constantly keep me smiling. The staff here are so dedicated and passionate and willing to work together as a team.

What is your favorite food?

It's hard for me to pick just one food, but I think I would have to say french fries.

Who is someone you admire and why?

I admire my grandma. She was the most patient and kind person I have ever met. She taught me that the best way to learn is through traveling. I aspire to be more like her.

If you see Miss Merrion around the school make sure you say hello!!
