CATCHING THEM IN THE ACT
A CONSERVATORY PREP SCHOOLS E-NEWSLETTER
December 2, 2016
Congratulations to Braeden upon his acceptance to Stetson University and to Ryan upon his acceptance to Dean College.
The Academic Review will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at 6:00PM. Cost is $25 per person and includes a catered dinner. Please send in your RSVP with payment by December 16th.
Rehearsals for the Academic Review are underway and it is essential that each student attends school every day from 8:20 - 3:20 M-TH and 8:20 - 2:20 on Fridays. When a student is out rehearsing for the rest of the group becomes difficult and we loose productive rehearsal time. We do realize there will be times when a student is off stage waiting for the next act to begin and seems to have nothing to do. This is not the time for them to leave school. Working as an ensemble, memorizing lines, becoming dependent upon each other for success, writing, speaking, staging, following directions are all skills addressed in a theater production.
SAT and ACT Prep take place on Wednesdays and Fridays during lunch with Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. Rockett. We highly encourage our juniors to take part.
Student Government is planning a pot-luck holiday lunch for December 16th. Sign up sheets will be on the bulletin board in the hallway. This year the students decided to have a secret 'snowflake' present exchange.
