Turkey Week
Modified plans for Turkey Week are underway. The KHS Class of 2021 has done a tremendous job of engaging all students with a unique spin on the traditional Turkey Week festivities to keep traditions alive.
Friendship Dance
While the traditional Friendship Dance with Webster Groves was not held, KHS and Webster Groves students selected their Friendship Court. The individuals to the KHS Friendship Court were surprised with yard signs and flowers at their home from senior class officers and principal Jessica Vehlewald.
Next week, all KSD students and staff, pre K-12, are invited to participate in:
Tacky Day (wear orange and black) on Monday, November 23
Spirit Day (wear red and white) on Tuesday, November 24. KHS is also planning on a virtual pep rally that afternoon. A link to tune in will be shared next week.
Turkey Day Game
Kirkwood High School and Webster Groves High School have made the joint decision to end the 2020 football season in response to the increasing number of concerns related to COVID-19 cases. This decision means the Turkey Day football game will not be played this year. We are proud of our coaches, student-athletes, and their families for their cooperation and commitment to all of our safety protocols over the past several months that have allowed the team to facilitate as much of a positive football experience as was possible during this time.
Chili Challenge
THE KSDF CHILI CHALLENGE IS ON! In light of St. Louis County’s new COVID order set to begin November 17th, our support of local businesses is now more important than ever. You can still participate in the Chili Challenge November 19-25 by ordering online or visiting any of our participating restaurants who offer outdoor seating. We also encourage you to order more than chili. Explore these restaurants' menus and find a favorite dish; order lunch and/or dinner! Please call ahead, place your orders early, and practice social distancing at all times. Wear a mask when picking up your orders! Let's all show our love to these restaurants who work tirelessly to support and feed our community.
After sampling the chili from the restaurants you visited, please vote for the Best Chili in Town and the Most Unique Chili on the KSDF website. One vote allowed per category.
Wellness Week: November 30-December 4
