Welcome Back to School!!

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer break with family & friends. The Auxier staff is so excited to have students back into their classrooms this week. Thank you for attending Meet the Teacher night on July 18th. It was great to see all of the students & families filling the hallways with enthusiasm. Curriculum Night

Parents are invited to join us on August 7th & 8th to hear all about what your child will be learning at Auxier this year. The first session starts at 5:00 and the second session starts at 5:55. Curriculum Night is held in your child's classroom unless noted by your child's teacher.


August 7th Sessions: Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, & 6th Grades

**6th Grade will be held in the Band Room (#D2)


August 8th Sessions: 1st, 3rd, & 5th Grades along with Mrs. Hattaway & Mr. Merrill's Classes

Drop Off & Pick Up Reminders

Daily the first bell rings at 8:35am

  • If students arrive after 8:35am, they will enter from the Designated Drop Off Area through the Front Office
  • Students are marked tardy after 8:40am & must be signed in by an adult


Students in Grades 1 - 6 are dismissed at 3:10pm

  • Parents are welcome to meet their student(s) outside the Front Office or under the shade structure

Traffic Procedures

In an effort to provide a safe & positive environment for our students, please follow all traffic procedures that we have implemented here at Auxier. The Traffic Patterns map is available below for your reference. A sign/paper with your child's name & grade level in the window is greatly appreciated.

Campus Safety

  • Parents, Guests, &/or Visitors are required to sign in & obtain a badge/sticker at the Front Office when arriving on campus.

  • Students are welcome on campus after 8:15am. Students will use the sidewalk to walk to the Main (1st - 6th) or Kindergarten playground.


  • Utilize designated crosswalks when walking onto campus & through parking lots. Student must be accompanied by an adult when walking in the parking lot.

Attendance

Regular attendance & punctual arrival at school are two habits that dramatically impact student achievement.


  • If a student arrives for school after 8:40am, the student must report to the Front Office with an adult. The student will be given a pass to take to the classroom teacher.
  • Students leaving school before 3:10pm must be signed out in the Front Office by an authorized adult. Please be prepared to show identification



It is very important that the school is notified as soon as possible when your child is absent. Please contact the Attendance Line or Mrs. Ginny Lamar at (480) 424-8403 to report your child's absence.

Health Office

Your child may not be in school & will be sent home by the Health Assistant. Below are examples of condition(s) that require students to remain at home:

  • Fever of 100.4 or Higher. A child must be fever-free for 24 hours (without fever reducing medication) before returning to school.
  • Persistent Cough
  • Sore Throat with Fever &/or White Spots
  • Rash
  • Vomit
  • Active Head Lice


An updated copy of immunization records are due upon enrollment. The Health Office will contact families with upcoming &/or expired records.

Lunch Pricing: $2.95

Dropping off a student's lunch? Before 10:15am, lunches can be placed in the Front Office table. Lunches will be taken to the cafeteria by our Noon Aide Staff & placed on the designated table. After 10:15am, parents/guests will need to sign-in at the Front Office & walk their student's lunch to the cafeteria.

Lunch Visitors

Starting August 5th, parents & guest of students grades 1 - 6 are welcome to enjoy lunch with their students in the cafeteria. The first two weeks allow our students & staff the opportunity to build routines within the cafeteria.


Kindergarten students will be able to enjoy lunch with their guest(s) starting August 12th.
