What is pop art?

Pop art was big in the 1950's in England until they found that it's full potential was in New York. Pop art interseted many artists including Andy Warhol who was famous for creating the 32 Cambells soup cans (right) and the Marilyn Monroe pictures (above). Roy Lichtenstein was another artist but his work was more focused on comic type pictures such as Blam and Takka Takka.
