CCS Closed Friday
Friday is a non-attendance day for CCS students. The day is scheduled as a Flex Professional Development Day for teachers. Oliver Woodard Stadium, on the campus of CHS, will be the venue for the AHSAA State Track and Field Competition for 1A-3A.

UAH Competition Participants
CMS eighth grade students, Madison L. and Bercy V. participated in the You Be the Chemist Competition at UAH last weekend. CMS is proud of these students and their love of science! They did a great job!
Mrs. Erin Williams attended the competition with these students and was also chosen as Alabama's teacher representative to go to the National Competition in Washington D.C. in June.
App Challenge Update
CMS students Caitlin D., Kaden G., and Braxton W. placed 4th in the first annual Governor’s App Challenge!

Looking Up
Things were really looking up for these EES 4th graders as they began their tour in Montgomery this week. (Lea Casey's class looks up from the floor of the Rotunda.)
Coca Cola and CNN
EES and WES 6th grade gifted classes made the trip to Atlanta last Friday for a visit to World of Coca Cola and CNN. It was a great trip for these students.
CCPS: Feeling the Love
Members of Desperation Church shared their love and their sweat with CCPS last weekend as they worked to spruce up outside areas of the campus. We appreciate these fantastic community partners!
CMS Beta Club Field Trip
The CMS Beta Club traveled to Franklin, TN this week to tour the Carnton Plantation and Carter House.
FAWN at EES
Forestry Awareness Week Now was great fun at EES this week and the weather was beautiful.
The Appreciation Is Real
CCPS teachers are awesome and their hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated. A relaxing lunch is just one small way that our PTO demonstrated their appreciation this week. (Deep relaxing breath) Yum!
Beginner Band Performance
Congratulations on an outstanding performance by the East/West Beginner Band at their Spring Concert. It is very impressive how much our students have improved this year. Thank you Mrs. Bean, Mr. Teuscher, and Mr. Smith for working with our students.
