A Letter From Shannon 5/19/23
The last week of school is upon us. Next week will be full of celebrations, goodbyes and see you laters. It is a bittersweet time as we are excited for a close to all of the learning and growing that occurred this year and look forward to what is to come, but ends are always challenging. We will celebrate together next week and work to make sure that year end is the most positive end our kids can have.
We were sooooooo busy this week we lots of culminating activities. From turning Mrs. McP into a sundae to celebrate our fundraising goal, to kickball, HRHS grads, Boys on the Run 5K, Kindy and Little Cougars graduations, ROCKS recognition and final project presentations, we leave this week feeling full of joy for all of the wonderful accomplishments we have made together this year.

What a special tradition that has been started where annually, the grads from CRUN come back and march in a "clap out" where we honor our students who are graduating and moving on to do great things! Check out the video below.
PTA Updates
Thank you, Cougar Run Family, for an amazing and successful year. We closed out the Fun Run fundraiser by decorating Mrs. McP like an ice cream sundae as a celebration for reaching our goal of $20,000. If you would like to see all of the photos, then please visit the Blink with Lulu gallery HERE.
The PTA is turning its eyes to the future. If you would like to join us for some summer canvassing of local business sponsors, then please email us at crunpta@gmail.com. Please check out our 2023-2024 Volunteer Interest Form HERE and our September Fun Run Volunteer Sign-up HERE. We voted to move our meetings back to the 2nd Friday of each month at 8:45am. There will still be a Zoom option available.
We thought it would be fun to have a last day of school "low key celebration" in the Cougar Run Park on Thursday, May 25th immediately following the end of the school day. Andy's Frozen Custard is owned and operated by Kent Hutchison, a parent here at Cougar Run. He will be bringing frozen custard for the kids and will be stationed up at the pavilion. Bring your kids and stay for a few minutes of fun to celebrate summer.
Have a safe and relaxing summer break. Love, Cougar Run PTA
EBOP Program 23-24
EBOP is the Elementary Band and Orchestra Program offered at Highlands Ranch High School for HRHS elementary feeder schools. Students in 5th and 6th grade have the opportunity to learn an instrument while gaining musical experience with their peers. In addition, students develop relationships with future Cresthill Middle School peers which can have a positive impact on their educational experiences as they move on to middle school and high school.
Band instrument instruction is available to students on flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, and drums/percussion. Orchestra (String) instrument instruction is available to students on violin and cello.
